A leading Contracting company in KSA is seeking to recruit the following

Planning Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project schedules, utilizing project management software and tools.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
• Analyze project requirements and resource availability to establish feasible timelines and budgets.
• Monitor project progress and update schedules to reflect changes in scope and priorities.
• Identify potential risks, delays, and resource constraints, and develop contingency plans.
• Provide regular project status updates and reports to project teams and management.
• Participate in project review meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of project planning processes.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure effective integration of project plans and schedules.
• Optimize resource allocation and utilization across multiple projects.
• Assist in the development of project proposals, estimates, and bids.
• Preparation of Project Budget & Calculation of detailed person-hours, machine hours, etc.
• Anticipate a contract's / project(s) demand in terms of labor, materials, equipment, and technical challenges etc.
• Utilize a systematic approach to monitor and control the project costs in accordance with the established budget after the design has been finalized
• To monitor, analyze, control and report current and forecast progress and labor histograms against approved contract schedules to enable project and corporate management to ensure that final project turnover dates are within the approved contract schedule. Ensure the project is executed to the project management practices and the requirements within the contract
• Coordinate with legal and commercial department regarding potential claims.
• Preparation of recovery program to catch up delays
• Preparation of short-term detailed schedule based on baseline schedule along with lock ahead schedules.
• Consider the costs and possibilities of reducing them without compromising quality or safety.
• Preparation of work breakdown structures to enable the associated resource and cost budgets
• He performs any other work assigned to him by the line manager and falls within the nature of his work.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with minimum 8 years of professional experience in project planning with an emphasis on projects monitoring. 
• Experience with the development and construction of Building projects.
• strong familiarity with project management software, such as Primavera (P6-V6), MS project.
• Knowledge of Contracts (FIDIC) Preferable
• Good Communication & letter writing Skills
• Interpersonal skill, ethical values and commitment to continual improvement
• Demonstrable knowledge of primavera P6 or other Project Management systems and in have a good working knowledge of windows-based applications & power point presentation.
• Able to communicate effectively with all levels of management. You will have a good knowledge of project planning and management principles.
